Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 3, 2026
This policy explains how Blanmo (“Blanmo”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data in its application that uses LinkedIn's official API to let you connect your own LinkedIn account and publish content on your personal profile (the “App”). It applies only to the App.
In short
- You connect your own account on LinkedIn's authorization screen. We never see your LinkedIn password.
- We access your name, profile picture and LinkedIn member identifier, and receive your permission to publish posts on your behalf.
- We use this only to identify the connected account and to publish the content you choose.
- We do not sell your data, use it for advertising or share it with third parties.
- You can revoke access at any time and ask us to access, correct or delete your data.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Blanmo, a software studio based in Brazil and the operator of www.blanmo.com, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
2. What data we access
When you connect your LinkedIn account, LinkedIn asks you to approve the permissions below. We access only what these permissions allow.
| LinkedIn permission | What it gives the App |
|---|---|
openid, profile | Your name, your profile picture, your language setting and your LinkedIn member identifier (a unique ID that LinkedIn assigns to your account for the App). |
w_member_social | Authorization to create posts on your personal LinkedIn profile on your behalf. |
Once you approve, LinkedIn issues an access token to the App. The token is a credential that lets the App act within those permissions, and nothing beyond them.
The content you decide to publish through the App is sent to LinkedIn so that the post can be created on your profile.
The App does not access your LinkedIn password, your email address, your connections or your private messages.
3. How we use your data
- Name, profile picture and member identifier: to identify which LinkedIn account is connected and to tell LinkedIn which profile a post belongs to.
- Authorization to publish and access token: to publish, on your personal profile, the content you choose to publish through the App.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
We process this data based on your consent, which you give on LinkedIn's authorization screen and can withdraw at any time.
4. Authorization and how to revoke it
Access is granted by you, through LinkedIn's own authorization flow (OAuth 2.0). LinkedIn shows you the permissions being requested, and you can decline. You sign in on LinkedIn's website, so the App never receives your password.
You can revoke the authorization at any time:
- On LinkedIn: open Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Permitted services and remove the App.
- With us: ask us to disconnect your account using the contact in section 8.
After you revoke access, the App can no longer read your profile information or publish on your behalf. Posts that were already published stay on your LinkedIn profile until you delete them on LinkedIn.
5. Storage, security and retention
- Where: the profile information and the access token described in section 2 are stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure used by Blanmo.
- Protection: the data is encrypted at rest and is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- How long: we keep the data while your LinkedIn account is connected to the App. We delete it when you disconnect your account, revoke the authorization or ask us to delete it.
6. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties. Two points follow from how the App works:
- The content you publish is sent to LinkedIn, because publishing it there is the purpose of the App. LinkedIn handles your data under its own Privacy Policy.
- The data is hosted on AWS, which acts only as our infrastructure provider.
We may disclose data if the law requires it.
7. Your rights: access, correction and deletion
You can ask us at any time to:
- confirm whether we hold data about you and give you access to it;
- correct data that is incomplete, inaccurate or out of date;
- delete your data;
- withdraw your consent and disconnect your LinkedIn account.
These rights are provided by data protection laws such as Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD). To make a request, write to us using the contact in section 8 and tell us the name on your LinkedIn account, so that we can find your data. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours before we act on the request.
8. Contact for privacy matters
For any question or request about privacy, contact Blanmo on WhatsApp:
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how the App handles your data, we will update this page and its effective date. The current version is always available at https://www.blanmo.com/privacy-policy.
